The original Charger model, introduced in 1966, had a standard 383 cubic inch 4-barrel engine, or an optional 426 Hemi. Chargers with the Hemi engine are more popular today with classic car enthusiasts.
A Dodge Charger named the General Lee starred in the television show "The Dukes of Hazzard," and the movie Bullitt featured a 1968 Dodge Charger RT.
At eBay, you can find rare and hard to find Dodge Chargers from the 1960s and 70s, some in beautifully restored condition, and others just waiting for you to take them on for your next restoration project.
